I don’t normally paint landscapes, but I went to an art show at Angell Gallery in Toronto recently and was totally inspired by what I saw.

I just loved the bright colours and drippy paint; I thought it was such a modern, yet post-apocalyptic, approach to a landscape.

So, as a little painting experiment, I painted a landscape inspired by John Kennedy’s gorgeous paintings.

I’ve known Lauren for a couple of years now. She’s an awesome girl with a killer body, so after competing with SAF, she shot with Paul Buceta and me!!

Side note: After her first competition, her live-in boyfriend proposed to her…(awe! right??) and they are getting married on Canada’s beautiful east coast. I’m seriously considering a road trip out there

I started an amazing new series of work! I am creating images of traditionally feminine accessories out of torn fashion magazine tears.

I am really excited about the series and about the process of creating art from otherwise-forgotten magazines.

How lucky are these two chicks?

We decided to head down to L.A. to attend Mario Dedivanovic’s (that’s Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist. ahem.) exclusive makeup seminar. I mean, how does Kim K look so damn perfect every time?

We learned that layering, blending and contouring are key to creating a perfect face.

I was so excited to finally work with Elaine Goodlad!

She is one of the original Oxygen cover girls and is highly respected in the fitness industry.

I’ll tell you what I wasn’t expecting – when she walked into Paul Buceta’s studio, I was floored by how naturally gorgeous Elaine is. I mean, she is radiant and that made my job really easy!

I hope to see her on the cover of Oxygen again real soon!

Seriously, this girl had the best accent and a great sense of humour. Not to mention the most beautiful head of hair I’ve ever worked with!

Recently, I found myself going back to my roots – drawing. Little did I know I would embark on a new career. Hello world, I am now an illustrator.

I love the simplicity of drawing – how a line can instantaneously turn into a little piece of beautiful art.

I am now officially illustrating for Oxygen magazine on a monthly basis. Keep a look out for the illustrated exercise routines and let me know what you think!

SOOOOOO…long story short. Monica Brant joins the WBFF. Every year at WBFF, Paul Buceta and I shoot a bunch of the WBFF prospects for Oxygen. Monica (and a slew of hot fitness models) shows up at Paul’s studio, we shoot her, she wins WBFF and gets and OXYGEN cover….

I honestly don’t know what to say. SPEECHLESS. It is such an honor to share an Oxygen cover with Monica Brant ‘cuz she’s such a rock star in the fitness industry.

On the last day of shooting at the pool party this year, Paul, Sarah and I teamed up on an ultra-sexy, very edgy, rock and roll beach shoot.

I give Sarah a killer smoky eye and huge hair; Sarah puts on some sexy pantyhose and strikes a pose; Buceta composes an impossibly beautiful shot…AND the rest is history!

This is hands-down one of my favourite shoots of all-time…

Paul Buceta Pool Party 2010!

What an amazing week! This year 75 (yeah. i know) flew down to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for a week long photoshoot/networking session.

It was incredible to see everyone break off into groups and start shooting. Models and photographers find each other, set a date and go shoot. You could see at least 4 photo shoots happening on our stretch of beach at any given time.

Paul and I worked every single day and we have some incredible shots to show for it.
